William Sightings at the Thirsty Goat a Cocktail Lounge & Bar in Port St. Joe, FL
This is the first sighting of William. From what we have discovered he heard about our lounge while roaming the villas of France. After a life of roaming he became very thirsty. He tried drinking some Fine wine from the Antinori Vineyard. The chianti was delicious but it just didn't satisfy what he was thirsting for. He drank a smooth Grey Goose Martini but still his whistle was not wet. He drank many glasses of fine champagne with a splash of Chamboard for a bit of extra sweetness but his mouth remained dry as grass during a drought. He had been thirsting for something for months when he decided he would come to the States to visit this Lounge that's name described him. It took a few weeks to get his affairs in order and travel plans made but alas he has arrived.
William arrived here on a rainy afternoon a few hours before the bar was to open. After he explained his situation to us we felt compelled to open the door a few hours early to see if we could help him with his thirst. As soon as we opened the door Williams' mouth began to water at the sight of all the bottles. Before we were able to ask what he wanted he had jumped behind the bar and started filling a shaker with ingredients.
After a few shakes he poured his concoction into a glass and put up his feet while he enjoyed the beverage he just created for himself. After a few sips he started to feel his moisture levels in his mouth altering. Not only had he salivated upon entering the bar and seeing the selection we had to offer but now he was actually starting to feel his thirst being quenched.
For so many months he had agonized over the unpleasant environment in his mouth. Finally he could relax and enjoy a drink. He could feel the drink dancing around in his mouth and causing an unsurmountable joy. The fake smile he had plastered on for so long was replaced by a true honest smile.
William realized with the drought in his mouth dissipating he may actually be able to enjoy an old habit he had lost pleasure in. He was delighted to see what a fine selection of cigars we had to offer.
He explained how he had given up cigar smoking shortly after the thirst began. He had become fearful that with the extreme dryness he was experiencing that puffing on a cigar could possibly start a fire.
William has decided to take up residence in the area for the time being. Since he has such a kinship with the lounge we have made a deal with him to be a mascot of sorts for our fine establishment. So don't be surprised if you bump into William at the lounge or around town.
